ID : 5685
« back to classes page
Constitutional controversies are on the rise: executive orders, detaining and punishing terrorists, immigration bans, religious objections to same-sex marriage.  Both sides to every case put forth Constitutional arguments as the bases for their positions but only one side can prevail.  This lecture will survey the ways courts, lawyers, scholars, and citizens interpret the Constitution and what types of arguments have worked best.
