ID : 8095
« back to classes page

Johannes Brahms managed to synthesize the discipline of the Classical-era symphonic forms and procedures with the expressive drama of Beethoven and the harmonic and melodic language of late Romanticism more convincingly, more artistically, and more effectively than any other nineteenth century composer.  We will explore the four symphonies of Brahms through listening and analysis.
