Long before sorbet, fro yo, and gelato entered the dessert lexicon — 500 years to be exact — the frozen dairy-based ice cream called booza was the only ice cream game in town, courtesy of the Levant region of the Eastern Mediterranean. Now's your chance to try out this revamped ancient ice cream at the only shop of its kind in the U.S., which promises to be smoother, denser, creamier, and more flavorful than any ice cream you've ever tasted before.

Join us for an exclusive ice cream tasting and demo inside Republic of Booza, America's first booza ice cream shop that is also the first modern rendition of the world's original ice cream.

Led by a Republic of Booza store manager before the shop opens to the public, our private experience will include:  an overview of booza, from its origins during the Ottoman Empire to where its soft elasticity comes from, a step-by-step demonstration of how booza is made, with interactive opportunities to crush, pound, and stretch this ancient ice cream, and a tasting of several different flavors of booza. Tour open to children ages 12+. Course fee applicable to all attending, regardless of age.
