Drawing in Spring: Flowers, Fields, Forms

Inspire your creativity and connect with the natural world as you develop drawing skills. A variety of art media will be introduced including pencil, ink, charcoal, colored pencil, and pastel.  Lessons will focus on line, value, composition, and color. Students will observe the simple shapes of flowers and landscapes. Sketching will provide the opportunity to vary the composition. Rendering will develop value.  Demonstrations and individual instruction will guide students at all levels to improve their drawing. Group critiques offer learning from varied styles. Please bring a sketchbook 14”x17” or larger. Other basic materials will be provided.
