Looking to build or regain muscle tone, balance and range of motion? This stimulating yet restorative class will help build strength and endurance and improve flexibility. Participants will learn to exercise safely and correctly. The chair-based class includes some standing exercises for those who are able, and is perfect for the active older adult who has difficulty with floor exercises. Students with mild and severe arthritis find the class invaluable. Participants will work on lower and upper body strength and conditioning, mostly while in a seated position. Students should bring 1 to 5 lb. weights (optional) and water. Yoga straps or bands are used to assist in stretching and are available for purchase at first class.
