ID : 7040
« back to classes page
This session will focus on the culmination of Renaissance standards as realized in works such as Leonardo’s Last Supper and Mona Lisa, Michelangelo’s Vatican Pieta and David, and Bramante’s architectural achievements in Rome.  Why did the center of art suddenly switch from Florence to Rome?  The session will also study the influence of Venice, home to Giovanni Bellini, Andrea Mantegna, Giorgione, and Titian.  As the search for beauty was perfected in art, what more could possibly be achieved?
