Genealogical research helps uncover, record and save family histories.  Increasingly, institutions are digitizing their records, making them available to anyone on the iInternet.  This research can be exciting, daunting, frustrating, but mostly rewarding.  It may affirm (or even refute) dates, relationships and other information that your family has long held.  It may enlarge your understanding of how and where they lived.  Finding and saving these records for your children and grandchildren is a gift to the future.  As a beginner in these interactive sessions, you will be guided through some of the resources and databases, absorb helpful guidelines, understand some of the pitfalls, and learn the steps that will help you get started.  We will spend as much time as possible with your individual searches during the class.  Once you get started on your research it will be hard to stop!  Please bring 3 essential tools to each class: your laptop, a magnifying glass and a calculator.
