U.S. – China Relations In The Age Of Globalization

We will explore the main themes and patterns in US-China relations from 1784 to the Cold War as aprelude to a more in-depth study of the complexities of this relationship since the early 1990s.

Lectures/discussions will focus on trade, human rights, anti-terrorism and environmental protection, all of which will be examined in the context of globalization.
