Develop technical skills as well as creative aspects of drawing, regardless of your experience level. Exercises using pencil, charcoal and pen and ink will explore the elements of line, light and shadow, proportion and perspective. The study of masters of draftsmanship will encourage the development of each student’s personal style. Students will draw various subjects, including still lifes, self portraits and landscapes from observation and from the imagination. A list of materials will be mailed after enrollment.

MARIA DeANGELIS holds a BS in Art Education, College of Mount Saint Vincent, MS in Art Education, Kutztown University, MFA in Sculpture, Hunter College. She has been teaching art at Scarsdale High School for the past 25 years and also teaches on the college level.
