Your kitchen will smell like a French
patisserie once you have learned secrets from Marie-Helene’s
kitchen!
Session 1 is devoted to finger cakes (madeleines,
financiers, sablés and more). Session 2 will focus on “tartes” -- different methods for making a pie crust and fillings that will
include fresh strawberries, poached peaches, a savory quiche and
more. You will learn to make loaf cakes for breakfast, appetizers
and desserts (almond and pear, whiskey chocolate, cheese and more)
during the third session.
Lunch follows the cooking demonstration. Enrollment limited to eight students.
MARIE-HELENE SARFAS is a terrific
French cook who brings flair to the table. Her recipes have been
handed down from her mother who loved to entertain and from her
father who was a professional baker.
