Computers Made Friendly

This five-session course is for people with no computer experience or who are computer-phobic. It provides a broad view of how personal computers (PCs) are used in the home and office. Topics covered include: computer terminology, PC hardware and Microsoft's Windows. The course includes examples, using games, Word (word processing), Excel (spreadsheets), and Explorer (for browsing the internet).

This course serves as a foundation for learning specific applications.

PAUL SPINDEL is the founder of a technology and management consulting firm that serves government, corporate and small business interests. He directed the Center for Advanced Technology at Columbia University.
