The focus of the class will be on design and on more complicated and technical projects. We will complete three projects, using more advanced techniques. The projects will include: a necklace or bracelet working with multi-strands and finishing with cones; wire working with chains and round wire; and a textural “Treasure chest” necklace, using a two-strand knotting technique with silk cord, and making of our own extenders and connections to clasps.

As a wrap-up, we will make our own ear wires, “S” clasp and spiral hook clasp with heavy 16-gauge wire. Students must supply their own materials and beads. A supply list will be sent upon registration.
