Painting With Watercolors

Enjoy the pleasure of watercolor painting with an emphasis on exploration and personal expression. Beginners will be taught composition, color mixing, and the use of negative space, and how to apply these basics to landscapes, flowers, and still life. More experienced participants will develop their skills. Each class includes demonstration, painting and critique. On warmer days, the class may be “en plein
aire.”

Prior experience with drawing and a basic knowledge of color is required for beginner students.

HOPE FRIEDLAND earned a Master's Degree in Art Education at Columbia University, Teacher's College
and, after graduating, studied oil painting in Florence, Italy. She teaches watercolor classes on cruise ships.
